Our new partner Clear Cambodia recently brought to our attention the plight of Soun Sla Village who struggle every day to get access to clean safe water. Chunnly visited the village and was moved by those he talked to like Samsun and her grandaughters (pictured) who use and drink water from a polluted river which is prone to water borne diseases.
Most of us take safe clean water for granted but for the people of Soun Sla village it is literally a matter of life and death. UNICEF estimates that one fifth of the deaths of children aged five and under in Cambodia are largely owing to lack of sanitation and poor hygiene practice.
We made them a promise - to do what we can to raise the $1500 needed to provide 50 water filters and bring clean safe water to Soun Sla Village.
But we need your help.
For $30 (USD) you can provide a family in Soun Sla village with a water filter that will remove 99.99999% of all bacteria and protozoa, provide clean water and give them a chance of working themselves out of poverty. Donate
